Soldier Blogger Makes Final Post From Beyond the Grave

Army Major Andrew Olmsted was a smart guy. Serving his country in Iraq, he was a well-known blogger back here in the States. He blogged often, and kept his family and friends up to date with the daily happenings of his life.

What many didn’t know, was that Major Olmsted also looked to the possibly unfortunate future. The blogger wrote a draft post that would only be published if there was news of his death.

Well, unfortunately Major Olmsted became the first US soldier killed in 2008, and as he had pre-arranged with a friend, his last post has been published. It’s a pretty tear-jerking read, so be prepared.
